Launceston hosts International children’s choirAs Cornish hotels and other local businesses prepare for the festive season, many of us begin to hear traditional Christmas carols and choirs, but this December will see Launceston playing host to a spectacular event with a different kind of performance.
On December 3rd a spectacular feast of music & dance will be on display at The Launceston Town Hall. The Internationally acclaimed Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir will be entertaining the crowd with an evening of traditional Ugandan song and dance. The show will begins at 7pm and will go on until 8.30pm.
This show is different to many others you’d expect to see for more reasons than one. The performance is a free one, and organisers ask anyone who watch to simply donate toward the charity they are supporting rather than paying a fixed ticket price.
Pearl of Africa Child Care is a UK based charity. The main activity of this charity is to raise funds for the seven schools and homes that are run by the Molly and Paul Child Care Foundation. The Molly and Paul Child Care Foundation is a Ugandan non-government organisation which provides education, food, healthcare and shelter to orphaned and impoverished children in the Kampala and Masaka district.
